Many people I know want to lose weight fast. My friends, my mom, my aunts, and never a day goes by without a single customer coming in to the pharmacy I worked for to ask about the best diet pills around that they can use. I just never thought I’d be one of them. I’m not saying I’m clinically obese, but I’m not slim either and I do accept that I could lose a few pounds. But I never really felt the pressure of doing so, until I received an invitation to my high school reunion.
Motherhood brings many changes in the body, and being a mother of two, I had so many bags in my stomach, cellulites in my legs and loose, flabby skin under my arms that swings to and fro whenever I lift them up. Not to mention the extra pounds I’ve accumulated over the years from eating delicious home-cooked meals I prepared for my family, and left-overs so nothing goes to waste. So, working at a pharmacy, I decided to try Xenical to help me lose weight fast.
For those of you who aren’t familiar about Xenical, it is the prescription name of a popular drug Orlistat which is commonly used as a diet pill. Xenical is supposed to block fats from being absorbed into the body, thus making you thinner and healthier.
Before using Xenical, I asked for medical advice and was told to take one diet pill every after meal for the first week, then reduce my intake to two diet pills a day by the second week, then a pill per day for the third week. I was also told to regulate my fat intake, an advice I really didn’t pay much attention to. After which, I immediately head to the pharmacy and bought myself a box of Xenical and immediately started taking it.
For the first four days of my taking Xenical, I felt nothing happening to me… until the fifth day when I felt and saw an orange, oil-like substance slipped out of my body. And it smelled gross. I was like YUCK! And it continued to flow out of me for days so I had to wear diapers especially when going out. I went to my doctor to ask if this was normal and was told that it was, that the deep orange oily substance coming out of me was actually the fat that my body had stored. My doctor once again told me to stop eating fatty foods so that my body would stop from emitting oil. It smelled so bad and felt so gross that I cut down my intake of fat ASAP.
Having taken Xenical for 3 months now, I must admit I was able to lose enough weight to feel enough confidence to go and attend my high school reunion which turn out to be a so-so occasion. After having to almost starve myself for the first two months of my Xenical treatment, I now really couldn’t believe why I felt the pressure to lose weight for something so insignificant as a high school reunion. But at least I have something to show for it. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still not thin, nor do I have great abs like those we see on TV. But I did lose weight and I do look great. I might decide to discontinue my Xenical use though. I want to see if I can hold on to my current weight without any help from diet pills. But I guess Xenical is really one of the best diet pills that work, as long as you coupled it with proper diet. At least, it worked for me.
