So Liza’s on another workout session. She can’t help shaping and toning her body up – it’s an addictive activity. It’s quite a surprise for her, since she was once known as a couch potato. Now come every Saturday morning, and you’d find her in the gym for a total workout blast.
What hooked her in was probably her love for music as well. She always makes sure to have the right tracks to supplement her classes. Whether it be a hard-hitting sessions, to cool-down rubdowns, Liza’s sure to have the proper workout tracks to move her body.
Let’s check out some of Liza’s top workout track picks:
Africa!
Liza’s a fan of Zumba classes. So much, that she often requests her instructor some tracks (which the instructor happily obliges to). One such track – also a favorite of her instructor and her classmates – is Shakira’s Waka-Waka (This Time for Africa). The tracks varying rhythm mixes in cleanly with Zumba’s various dance routines. From slowly building up from a steady opening beat, to an explosive chorus of African drums, Liza and her classmates surely dance and sweat to their hearts’ delights.
Because I’m a Champion
Occasionally, Liza practices boxing. It’s a surprisingly great sport, because of its full-body workout and practical applications. And to build her confidence up in this activity, Liza usually lets her body flow to the beat of Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger. It’s a moving tune, that lets her visualize herself as a champion boxer. It lets her summon her inner Rocky, making her fear no one, and making her give her all in every punch she launches. It’s a stress-reliever, a fun one that is, she’d often say to her friends and boxing instructors.
Caught in a Bad Workout
On some days – make that really bad days – Liza just wants to release some unwanted tension. Probably because she’s stressed at work. Or maybe had a messy fight with her long-distance lover. Whatever the reason, she sweats it out on Body Combat classes. These classes, a cool and diverse mix of several martial arts, lets her kick, punch and jump the terrifying air in front of her. And to add to the adrenaline, she makes sure she moves to Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance. It’s a bizarre case of rapid punches and high-flying kicks, to the tune of a wicked lover out of revenge. And she does admit – it’s cheesy, but who’s complaining. Almost everyone agrees that the song actually works in any other exercise session as well.
So Liza’s up and ready for another morning of working out. She’ll move her body, all right, to the right tunes. You may also want to try her choices – who knows, you may just get into the groove!
